UK Producer Director
I’m a freelance female camera operator, female videographer and producer director with over 30 years’ experience in UK television and factual entertainment. From broadcast-quality filming to self-shooting location work, I bring a unique blend of editorial expertise and technical skill to every production.
I began my career at Granada Television, ITV in Manchester, working with leading creatives including Russell T Davies, Tony Wood and David Liddiment.
After moving from Production Secretary to Tape Viewer on You’ve Been Framed, I secured a researcher role on This Morning with Richard and Judy.
From there I became Programme Editor at Granada Breeze, the lifestyle channel that launched the careers of Richard Hammond, Claudia Winkleman and many behind-the-camera talents.
My first PD role was Better Homes with Carol Vorderman, followed by numerous daytime and lifestyle programmes. I then became Editor of Channel M Breakfast for the Guardian Media Group. Like Breeze, Channel M was a springboard for new talent, including BBC Breakfast presenters Ben Bland & Nina Warhurst.
After Channel M, I returned to my first love — location producing and self-shooting — honing my skills as a freelance producer director and female camera operator. I also gained my NCTJ qualification in Broadcast Journalism, adding strong editorial storytelling to my shooting skills.
Most recently, I’ve worked as Series Producer Director on “Holidaying with Jane McDonald” (C5), filming across Africa, the Caribbean, Japan and the Canaries, and as Shooting PD on BBC’s “Countryfile” — delivering high-quality factual content from diverse locations.
